Dave Hamilton, a Senior Policy Advisor for the Nature Conservancy's Michigan Chapter and a former DEQ official, helped develop the state's Water Withdrawal Assessment Tool. The tool is intended to take a conservative approach to ensure that large water withdrawals don't cause adverse impacts. Dave will be discussing development and implementation of the tool, Michigan's current water withdrawal policy, and the impacts of water withdrawal in the Kalamazoo River Watershed
